This is an acoustic package comprising several tailored components to provide the necessary physical properties to achieve the acoustic goals. This universal kit is intended to meet customer specifications guaranteeing easy installation and flexible configuration. The high performance materials comprise an exceptionally	effective self-adhesive structure-borne sound deadening heavy layer which is able to absorb high energy levels on a relatively thin door skin. A special polyurethane foam provides for frequency-dependent air-borne sound absorption. A sound-permeable sealed fleece surface adds additional absorption	of acoustic energy. This age-resistant sealed surface is water-repellent. It goes almost without saying that the materials are compliant with all fire protection legislation as it applies to the car passenger areas: "self-extinguishing in accordance with FMVSS 302".
