Become a specialist fitter for sealing the joints in windows and front doors

The training programme offered by the Gütegemeinschaft Gebäudeabdichtungssysteme e. V. consists of two interlinked modules, culminating in a qualification at the RAL Academy. Whether you are a building components fitter, joint sealer, planner or architect, this training course will enable you to obtain the RAL qualification as a ‘Specialist Fitter for Joint Sealing – Windows and Front Doors’. To take part, you must provide evidence of at least two years’ professional experience.

As a member of the Quality Association, we pass on our theoretical and practical expertise to you:

The first module takes place at the Hanno plant (Laatzen). Here, you will gain first-hand knowledge of the basics required for the RAL qualification, have the option to try your hand at practical work, and tour the plant.
The cost for Module 1 is 198 euros, including one night’s accommodation in the Hildesheim/Hanover area, an evening meal, refreshments and drinks during the event.

Alternatively, the workshop can take place at our Premium Partners’ premises or be offered as in-house training (dates by arrangement). In this case, our staff will visit your premises and deliver the content in a practical manner. Upon completion of the first module, you will receive a certificate entitling you to take part in the second module.

Module 2: Training and examination module at the RAL Academy

Part 2 of the training programme takes place at the RAL Academy in Bonn, alongside the examination. The advanced training and examination seminar comprises a one-day refresher course on the relevant standards and guidelines, as well as product selection, organisation, documentation and fault-finding. The lecturers, who bring both theoretical and practical expertise, include application engineers, experts and specialist solicitors.

Upon successful completion of the examination, you will receive the certificate as a “RAL-qualified specialist fitter for joint sealing – windows and front doors”.

Cost:

The second module and the examination together cost 450 euros.

Cancellation policy for Module 2:

Participants or member organisations may cancel their participation in writing to RAL gGmbH up to 10 calendar days before the respective event date. Cancellation must be made by email to guetezeichen@ral-aka-demie.de. In the event of cancellation, participants will be refunded 100 per cent of the amount paid, provided the participation fee has been paid.

If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the RAL Academy may cancel the training event up to 14 calendar days before it is due to take place. There is no entitlement to the training event taking place.
