THE GUIDE TO PLANNING AND EXECUTING THE INSTALLATION OF WINDOWS AND FRONT DOORS - REVISED 2020

The new version of the "Guidelines for planning and installing windows and front doors for new builds and renovations" contains a number of significant new features compared to the last version from 2014.

New features include, for example, a detailed consideration of the building structure connection interface for floor-to-ceiling elements, a modified and optimised case differentiation for window fastening and an explanation of the options for fastening windows in highly thermally insulating masonry. The revisions to the guide also include the adaptations to the two new DIN 4109 (sound insulation) and DIN 18542 (use of foam plastic tapes).

It reflects the recognised rules of technology and is therefore a practically indispensable aid for architects, planners, site managers and fitters. The new edition of the guide will be available from the beginning of April 2020. The current state of technology and standardisation has been incorporated.
